The Air Force Medical Service is training its surgical teams with the latest technology to ensure patients have access to the best care available. Air Force Maj. Joshua Tyler, the director of robotics at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, is the man behind the establishment of the Defense Robotic Surgical Education system that could change the way the American army handles surgical situations.
The plan is to train the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Department of Veterans Affairs medical teams to take full advantage of advanced medical robotics.
