Phoenix is a modular exoskeleton for personal and at-home use for those seeking medical rehabilitation to allow mobility. Phoenix’s modular system allows the user to independently put on and remove each piece as desired. It weighs only 12.25kg. To date, a top speed of 0.5 miles per hour has been recorded by a Phoenix user. On a single charge, Phoenix can walk for 4 hours continuously or 8 hours intermittently. Phoenix is adjustable for different-sized users and can be easily configured to fit individuals’ specific needs.

Participants will identify how safety management practices enable an organization in the UAS space to improve the quality of operations and the culture of pilots and operators.
Highly Reliable Organizations (HRO) succeed in avoiding catastrophes in an environment where normal accidents can be expected due to inherent risk factors (examples include: unreliable technology, minimal redundancy, automation dependency). All UAS organizations have an obligation to ensure their flight activities are safe for the people, property, and aircraft around them. By effectively employing industry best practices for SMS, the UAS organization establishes a framework to identify hazards and implement controls, implement effective crew resource management across all levels of the organization, correct irregularities in reporting and training, and establish continuous improvement programs.
