(MumbaiMirror) The Indian School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ISME) in Lower Parel plans to put humanoid robot ‘Mitra’ to co-teach classes from the next academic year starting July. “The thought of a robot taking classes sounds exciting,” said Prem Vira, second year student of business management and entrepreneurship (BME) programme at ISME.
“Even in this 21st century, we follow a 19th century curriculum which taught by 20th century professors. The future lies in AI (artificial intelligence), AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality). That’s why we ordered the bot,” said Dr Indu Shahani, president and chairperson, ISME and Indian School of Design and innovation (ISDI).
