Brazilian Developers Win ABC’s BattleBots’ ‘Machine UFC’

Minotaur was created by RioBotz, the robotics laboratory of Rio de Janeiro’s PUC University. In its first battle, the Brazilian robot faced off against Blacksmith, a more robust robot equipped with a metal hammer. But what Minotaur lacks in size it makes up for in agility. The little robot has a rotation speed of 10,000 rotations per minute – enough to throw opponents to the other side of the ring. In a battle of David versus Goliath, the Brazilian Minotaur got the best out of its opponent, winning by knockout.
