(IBTimes)  Scientists at the University of Manchester have created the world’s first “molecular robot” using AR-supported nanotechnology. These molecular robots can carry out a set of building commands at the molecular level. The robot, capable of manipulating as little as one molecule of a particle, is made of 150 atoms mostly of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen, and is so small that several millions of them could easily fit atop a pin head.
In the future such robots could be used for medical purposes, advanced manufacturing processes and even building molecular factories and assembly lines, the scientists say.
